Lucy's
birth is being celebrated here by friends who live
on Cape Cod near her summer home (the shell represents
that and is a feminine symbol). Her family lives
in NYC (the skyline surrounding the circumference
of her "world") so we used the heart detail that
graces the torch of the Statue of Liberty. The violets
signify happiness--wishes to her for a life filled
with joy. The pink mat symbolizes beauty. |

Boobelah
ran in the Disney Marathon to raise money for cancer
research and dedicated it to her aunt who is fighting
cancer. Her aunt wanted to thank her in graphic
form for her effort, her love and her generosity. |

A gift
for a son, this cutting tells the graduate's story.
He enjoyed being the lacrosse team captain, hockey
goalie, an artist and musician in high school. Like
a camel, he will carry all the skills and education
gathered in those four year toward his new field
of study in college, Asian Art and Architecture.
His dog, his constant companion, sits poised to
enjoy his future adventures. |

When
one of the nine nurses (symbolized by the kedusus)
who had been friends "from the beginning" at Yale
New Haven Hospital (the logo is shown) through vacations
at the New Jersey shore (Barnegat Light and the
shells), through their weddings (bells with the
rose decor for love and friendship) and births (the
baby rattle) was moving to Arizona, they gave her
this cutting to be a visual memory of their history.
The violets are for happiness and the forget-me-nots
are for the memories. The circle of life encompasses
and connects them all. |

When
Michael retired after 30 years of teaching, the
teachers wanted to commemorate his achievements
and thank him for his service. He was an art teacher,
artist and art collector, a film buff, an avid fisherman
and camper, a fabulous cook and a fanatic for the
Yankees. |
